Free Shuttle
Mountain Village
Dial-A-Ride is a free shuttle service to and from most points within Mountain Village.
• Hours: 7 AM – Midnight
• FREE transportation is available for anyone within Mountain Village. However, they do not provide service to Village Court Apartments,
Big Billies, Telluride Apartments, The Bear Creek Lodge or the Mountain
Lodge.
• First-come, first-serve. No reservations.
•
Be ready when the shuttle arrives. Maximum wait time is 3 minutes.

Telluride
The town of Telluride operates the Galloping Goose free bus service. There are 4 routes operating on summer and winter schedules:
• Town of Telluride loop runs throughout the town including drop-off and
pick-up at the Gondola. 7 days a week from 7 AM – 9 PM.
•
Lawson Hill service to homes and businesses in Lawson Hill.
•
Down Valley service to and from Placerville and stops in between.
•
Norwood shuttle to and from Norwood only (there is a small fare for the
Norwood shuttle).

Free Gondola
The gondola spans 2.5 miles and offers free transportation from the Mountain Village Core (Station Mountain Village) to Allred’s Restaurant,
at the top of the mountain (Station St. Sophia), and continuing to the town of Telluride (Station Telluride). A second gondola system connects the Mountain
Village Core with the Mountain Village parking garage (Station Village Parking).
• Open 275 day/year. Closed spring off-season and fall off-season.
• Hours: 7 AM – Midnight
• Riding times:
o Station Mountain Village to Station St. Sophia is 4.7 minutes
o Station St. Sophia to Station Telluride is 6.2 minutes
o Station Mountain Village to Station Village Parking is 1.2 minutes
• Eliminates noise and air pollution, congested parking lots, and the need to drive.
• Provides clean, smooth, quiet, free and visually spectacular transportation. Low profile towers at or below tree line minimize the visual impact of the gondolas.
• 59 eight-passenger cabins equals about one cabin per minute with a total hourly capacity of 930 people per hour between towns in both directions.

Car Rental
The entire Town of Telluride is accessible by foot with free shuttle bus service available. Transportation between the towns of Telluride and Mountain Village is provided via the free gondola service while the town of Mountain Village offers free transportation via the Dial-A-Ride shuttle service. However, if you wish to visit sites beyond the two towns or provide your own transportation to and from the airport and/or around town, there are several car rental options, including Telluride’s own 2 and 4 passenger environmentally-friendly electric vehicles for rent by Go Green which includes free parking in town.

Telluride is family-friendly and offers a broad range of activities for kids and the whole family.
Summer Camp and Adventure Programs
• Telluride Kid’s Camp (ages 4-12 years) is located in Mountain Village and offers daily field trips to interesting places that are intriguing to children,
such as hiking, fishing, bouldering, swimming or seeking the freedom to run, play, explore and meet new friends. Operated by Telski, ski instructors who teach children in
winter form this experienced day camp staff. Drop off children by 9:00 am at the Children’s Ski School in the Mountain Village Core.
Telluride Summer Daycare (2 months-3 years) is located in Mountain Village and is also operated by Telski. Open Tuesday-Friday from 9 AM – 4 PM. Reservations required.

Winter Activities
• Children’s Ski & Snowboard School (ages 3-12 years) is open to children of all abilities. Rentals are available with lessons and snowboarding lessons are offered
to children of all abilities ages 7-12 years. Operated by Telski located in the Mountain Village Core. Sign-up is from 8:30-9:30 AM and pick-up is at 3 PM at the base of Lift 4.
