Kitchen Appliances

Featuring a gourmet kitchen with upgraded appliances, the top chefs will enjoy preparing meals in the Mont Maison kitchen. The kitchen and appliances are equipped with standard operating controls, however below we have highlighted some of the less obvious or difficult to find functions.

Oven & Range

The oven and range are by Viking and feature 6 burners and 2 ovens with control knobs and indicators on the front. If you wish to use the range top griddle, we recommend using the electric griddle located in the pantry.

Warming Drawer

The kitchen features a Dacor warming drawer located below the counter under the microwave oven. Open the drawer to access the controls. Please remember to turn off the drawer when you are through using it.

Microwave

The kitchen, children's playroom, and downstairs media room snack area each feature a Sharp Carousel microwave.  To use the microwave:
    1. Enter the cooking time, e.g. 200 for 2 minutes.
    2. Touch the POWER LEVEL pad once for 100% power cooking.
To reduce the cooking power by 10%, touch the POWER LEVEL pad again
        and repeat as necessary.
            One touch   = 100%
            Two touch   = 90%
            Three touch = 80%
            ...
    3. Touch START/TOUCH ON pad.

Dishwashers

The kitchen features 3 dishwashers, 1 large dishwasher and 2 drawer dishwashers. The large dishwasher controls are just inside and on top of the door.

To turn on the drawer dishwashers, first close and open the drawer until the lights come on, then press the center button on the front of the drawer.

No sharp knives or Calphalon pots (black pots with silver handles) in the dishwashers.

Trash Compactor

To start the trash compactor lift up on the foot pedal. To open the compactor press down on the foot pedal. If the compactor does not open, lift up twice on the foot pedal to turn off "solid pack".

Please do not place glass bottles or food in the compactor.

Coffee Maker

To make coffee in the Cuisinart DCC-2000:

1. Fill the water reservoir: When filling the coffeemaker with water, refer to the water window on the side of the unit and fill to the desired number of cups.
2. Add the ground coffee: Remove the filter basket by grasping the handle and lifting straight up. Insert a #4 paper filter or permanent filter. Add the desired amount of ground coffee, corresponding to the number of cups being brewed, typically 1 tablespoon of ground coffee per cup.
3. Turn the On/Off knob to “On” and release.
